Martin TruexDale Earnhardt Inc. apparently is appealing at least the suspensions to #1 team crew chief Kevin “Bono” Manion and car chief Gary Putnam. Manion and Putnam were working in the garage at Chicagoland Speedway today. Both declined comment, but their presence would indicate that DEI is appealing the penalty because suspended personnel are not allowed at the track.

Teams are given 10 days to appeal a NASCAR ruling. Those suspended typically can work until the appeal is heard.

they are only appealing b/c they arent ready to fill the positions at crew and car chief…they know they wont win…they just need more time to get people in place for the suspended races

No they are also appealing to try and get the suspension lowered, they are not appealing the points just the suspension.

yeah right…we all know unless ur chad knaus, your suspension and fine/points stays and that was the old car…totally new ball game now

this COT, they arent taking any crap from anyone…DEI is wasting their time…NASCAR is not gonna care about their sad story of possibly missing the chase because they built their car wrong and lose their crew and car chiefs for 6 weeks…the other 3 cars passed inspection and they used the same template…thats exactly what NASCAR is gonna say……boohoo…DEI has always sucked since 2001 and aint nothing going to change anytime soon

You do realize that NASCAR has absolutely nothing to do with the appeals process. It is done by the National Stock Car Commission with is an entirely separate entity made up of former Drivers, Crew Chiefs, Team Owners, and Businessmen. And they deal with case’s besides NASCAR related ones.

i can assure you that the commission will stand on this one, they knew exactly what they were doing to get that car to the winners circle. that was the only car out of 5 that failed from DEI. they tryed to pull a fast one and got caught. they knew the fines and points would be heavy. they were told over and over not to mess with the body of this car.

I just saw Max the record producer on television. I swear the DEI logo takes up a quarter of his shirt.
