This post is so true. i have been to daytona for many years back to back during the summer races and have caught a few 500’s. The scalping is just flat out ridiculous. I had thoughts of getting a load to the area to maybe watch it but i dont know now.

I always see signs about it when I go to baseball/football/hockey games, but I don't think I've ever noticed those signs at AMS. Because the state of Florida allows scalpers to purchase mass amounts of tickets and re-sell them for insane amounts of money! I went to the 2004 Daytona 500 and was shocked that these people were standing right next to cops, holding about 100 tickets and selling decent front stretch tickets for 7 to 800 dollars!!!!! These tickets had a face value of about 150 - 200 dollars. What the hell is that about! Where I'm from that would get you a good amount of jail time! NOT to mention an @$$ kicking!!
