Yea!! Because the state of Florida allows scalpers to purchase mass amounts of tickets and re-sell them for insane amounts of money! I went to the 2004 Daytona 500 and was shocked that these people were standing right next to cops, holding about 100 tickets and selling decent front stretch tickets for 7 to 800 dollars!!!!! These tickets had a face value of about 150 - 200 dollars. What the hell is that about! Where I’m from that would get you a good amount of jail time! NOT to mention an @$$ kicking!! That crap has to stop!!

What’s the over/under on races that will sell out this year? 6.5?

Aaron, don’t know about FLA, but here in Atlanta, I think you can scalp all the tickets for as much money as you want, as long as you are not within so many feet of the venue. I always see signs about it when I go to baseball/football/hockey games, but I don’t think I’ve ever noticed those signs at AMS.

Well, the Sport of Scalping is going strong, which takes away from the True Fan of any sport……

Go figure. Just to make a Statement, Place is Sold Out. !!!!!

What a Shame, The BackStretch has not been filled for several years.

    Anything to make a Statement.

Only the Tickets are gone. NO People to Come to Fill the Seats as Yet.

This post is so true. i have been to daytona for many years back to back during the summer races and have caught a few 500’s. The scalping is just flat out ridiculous. I had thoughts of getting a load to the area to maybe watch it but i dont know now.
