Dale Jr’s night club under construction in Charlotte

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is in the process of opening a nightclub in Charlotte, NC. “It’s coming along,” Earnhardt said. “It’s really early in the building stages. I went over there for the first time to see it this week. It looks terrible right now. Hopefully once they paint it and do all the tricks that they’ll do to make it look cool and then make it half lit it’ll look cool. Hopefully I’ll at least break even. That’s all I’m hoping to do. They are never moneymakers. I just want to have some fun with it.”
The bar will be named Whiskey River. Earnhardt said he’d been planning the place for about three years. But at the time he couldn’t use the name Whiskey River because his affiliation with Budweiser as his primary sponsorship at Dale Earnhardt Inc. “I thought that would be fun to name a club that and was surprised there aren’t many clubs named that,” Earnhardt said.

More than ever, Jr needs to be thinking about driving a race car, not building nightclubs. Superstar distractions slow you down.
iam sure he will be fine.
I doubt Jr. does much of anything involving this club other than sign checks. Drivers also need other things to occupy their time ya know, and if it’s what he wants to do, more power to him.
#2 on the speed chart today! Not bad!

If they need other things to occupy their time that means they are not involved enough with their team. Maybe its my old school mentality, but you wanna race on Sunday you better be in the shop working on the cars on Monday thru Friday from the time the shop opens to the time it closes. (Sponsor appearances allowed, since they pay the bills)
Its no big deal its not like he’ll be hanging there anyway, I mean its 2008 not 1978 I bet 80% of the drivers dont even spend 1 day at the shop cept for the low budget guys or driver/owners,your not gonna find a jr or stewart gordon or johnson at the shop workin on cars.

You have to be kidding me “work on the car”? You think Jeff Gordon works on his car? Jimmy Johnson? The real mechanics would run them out of the shop!
No matter what Junior, Teresa is still your step mom. Somethings you just can’t drink away.

UHHHH WHAT? Who said he was drinking anything away? To be honest i wish I could drink her away but I can’t!
piss on jr.
I’m 3 1/2hrs from Charlotte and i definately will catch this place when it opens up. Oh and Rick, i’ve read alot of posts on here withyour comment. I guess you really want someone to Piss on you when it comes down to it. You seem to like talkin about it

Whats wrong rick? you must be in love with jr to hate him so bad!

Whats wrong rick? you must be in love with jr to hate him so bad!
Maybe he’s just into that kind of stuff… l0l
the guy is doing what all superstars do investing for the
future, all kinds of big names own different things, bars, car
dealerships, sport teams.so whats the big deal,at least he is
not out there getting high or shooting people like some
big names.enjoy jr you only live once
DALE JR. PROVED FRIDAY NIGHT THAT HE IS THE BEST THAT NASCAR HAS TO OFFER! HE HAS FUN AND DOES HIS JOB AT THE SAME TIME,
WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE!
What did he do Friday Night?
Why is everyone so worried about judging him?? Who cares what he does with his time and money??? I’m glad he’s starting a bar. It’s a good idea. Like others have said above…he has the time cuz he doesnt have to personally work on his car, and you know he’s not that involved in this bar either. All he does is come check out the progress, sign checks, and make some executive decisions. Do you honestly think any of the drivers are distracted by their side projects??
I think its Great, he will have something to do in his off season, people should not be so negative.. Dale Jr will be just fine, and he will win..
If Senior was still alive, he would have kicked JR’s a__ and he’d be driving for DEI for nothing. He’s got way too big to fill his on pants!!!!!
If Sr were still alive and Jr was acting like this Jr would be out on his own running DEI2 like Kyle Petty did with PE2, because Sr would kick him out of the team for a few years, and make sure that he didn’t go to HMS or any other good team.
About Dale Jr., I think if Sr were still alive he would be very proud of his son . He is a very nice guy who conducts himself above board and has a lot of integerity. Since Sr. is gone I think the best thing was for him to move on and what a better place than Hendricks. As far as his bar good for him I hope it is a big success. As far as Theresa goes she did not have his best interest at heart, I feel Dales previous children have been a thorn in her side for a long time. I wish Jr. all the luck in the world we have always been Sr. fans and will continue to be Jr. fans forever
don’t you think he driving. write back when he wins a championship in 2008.
