Dale Jr to announce endorsement deals with Sony, Adidas

Sony will announce today that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has signed a personal endorsement contract with the high-end consumer electronics company. Adidas is set to announce another deal with Earnhardt next month.
Sony was an easy choice for Earnhardt, an avid online racing gamer who likes high-tech gadgets and computers. He primarily will hawk high-definition products (such as TVs, camcorders, cameras and Blu-ray disc players) for Sony, joining Peyton Manning and Michelle Wie as its high-profile endorsers.

So Jr leaves DEI and now he’s all of a sudden signing all these deals? Hmmm…maybe leaving DEI was more than just about performance. I guess he felt Teresa was holding him back more than just on the track.
Right on Brian… Sure is funny that he has all these big-time deals around a month after he announces he’s leaving DEI and a week after he goes to Hendrick. Sure does make you wonder, doesn’t it?
Leaving DEI was about winning. Dale is more popular than ever now and he will continue to market products. I am sure kelly is working overtime to make this move a profitable one for jr.

Up until the last year or two, JR didn’t have the rights to his own name. It was trademarked by DEI, so they always got a piece of the pie for any endorsements, etc. that he might have haad. Kelly negotiated for himto havethe rights himself.
