Dale Earnhardt, Jr to Appear on Comedy Central’s ‘The Daily Show’
Quote selected text Published July 26th, 2006 in NASCAR NewsDale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the #8 Budweiser Chevrolet and NASCAR’s three-time Most Popular Driver, will be the first NASCAR driver to appear as an in-studio guest on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, the Emmy Award-winning news program. Dale Jr. will appear Thursday, August 10. The show airs at 11 pm ET and repeats throughout the following day. The Daily Show has featured a broad spectrum of celebrity guests, including political figures, Hollywood stars, and U.S. Presidents.
The appearance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” will kick off a full night in New York on Aug. 10, as Dale Jr. will then join boxing champion and friend Arturo Gatti at the Budweiser One Night Stand music event at Mulcahy’s in Long Island (8 p.m. ET). Fans will be able to watch a live webcast of the event by logging onto www.budweiser.com.

Dale Jr. is a joke.. over-rated I’d love to see how uncomfortable he’ll get being on that show. Long Live the Intimidator… and Jeff Gordon.
Dale Jr. is one of the hottest guys ever!! He will have a blast on the show. He won’t be uncomfortable on the show because he isn’t over-rated. He one of the most down to earth guy ever!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!
Dale is NOT hot. He’s not even cute. He’s nowhere near down-to-earth. If you meet him at a fan-event you would think so… But no. Personally? He’s nothing like he is at the track. He drinks too much, cusses too much, wants girls for ass… and thats about it. He, Denny Hamlin(who is ALSO a huge joke), and Martin Truex Jr. are “best friends” and apparently, do EVERYTHING together.

I used to be friends with Denny and called his cell phone once, and to make a long-story short… I spoke with Dale.

im not going to comment on the hot thing, but just cause you talk to him once, dont mean you know him like your best friends, and maybe he was drunk as hell that night, who knows, hes sponsored by budwieser, 2nd of all, Denny Hamlin is cool, he use to race at old dominion, i know people who raced against him and mark mcfarland also raced their, and they all said he was pretty cool, cause i race at old dominion once this year, but next year ill be racin the whole legends season, and Dale Jr knows how to handle things like the daily show, hes been on several tv shows, he has his own tv show, and he knows what to do i would think, yes im a earnhardt fan, and maybe your a jeff gordon fan, and hate dale jr, i dont know, i dont care, Dale Jr is his own person, hes straight up with everything, and he is who he is, he dont change himself around other people, cause he wants to be who he wants to be, and if he was drinking that much, he would be very sick, cause hes got 1000s of fan appreciation shows, and if he was drunk at everyone, hed be dead, i know that, i have two uncles that have had drinking problems, one was on death row, and lived, and my other uncle passed two months ago, and it wasnt because of drinking, and he hadnt had any that day, but another month he would of been in severe condition, anyways, he really isnt drunk all the time. and he doesnt have to be like his dad, hes a good driver, he earned his way to cup, big E didnt buy the world for him, he wouldnt do that, look where kerry earnhardt is, hes scrapping for rides in trucks, and he dont have any luck, and he can drive like hell sometimes, but that shows he earned it, oh and i dont know if you noticed there katie, but about half the worlds people want some1 for there ass, or for there body, hes not the only one, and jennifer, if your an earnhardt fan, you dont have to listen to this hotshot lady that has OMG called denny hamlin, wow hes a person like the rest of us, but hes a hell of a driver, and im also a fan of him too, sure id love to meet him, but hes a person like everyone else, i could careless if you called him once, but if you did 3 or 4 times and had a good conversation with him, thatd be something to gossip about, and im tired of righting, i just like to set people straight on what the real world is, and no1s who you want them to be

You know what id like to see. Jeff Gordon takin a right turn. He is snobby, Cocky, and he is a bad driver. He needs to let things go and just race. Maybe then he would be higher he in points. I hope Jr wins the cup. He deserves it. Who cares what he is like off the track. He is a great driver.. and yes i agree with Jennifer. he is hott.
I agree with “this guy right here”. Deciding what someones entire character is like off of one conversation is ignorant. I am sure that we have all had conversations or moments in our life that we would not want people to JUDGE our entire personality on. Besides it sounds like you called during a guys night, and no matter who the guy is they try to act cool and say and do stupid things when they are hanging out and drinking with the boys!!! He is just a guy. We are all human, I hope you don’t judge everyone that quickly or you won’t have very many people in your life.

I’m sorry to disagree with me. Everyone has their opinions and everyone is entitled to them… I don’t judge people quickly… I never judged Denny when he and I first became friends… He was actually nice until he hit the cup series and people weren’t asking me “Denny who??”
As for judging Dale on character… I can say this and know that it’s the truth… Not many average, everyday “fans” can sit there and discuss Dale as a PERSON outside of the track. I’m not average. I can discuss because what I say is what I know. What I know is truth. No BS, complete and honest truth. I’m sorry if everyone seems to think Dale’s a God, but to be quite honest, he’s the furthest thing from it.
Oh, and I’d also like to point out–that Denny and I had a friendship lasting for about a year, so I’d know a thing or two about him.
And i’m also pretty decent friends with his ex, Erika… whom he cheated in with his girlfriend Kristin, who basically lets Denny walk all over her. Yeah, thats character all right.
