Dale EarnhardtA vintage racing suit worn by NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, Sr. that was stolen last month from the Texas Motor Speedway has been recovered, police said Thursday.

Investigators believed the theft was an inside job, and that suspicion was confirmed when an attorney representing a TMS employee contacted Fort Worth police to negotiate the return of the suit, helmet and a book to TMS president Eddie Gossage, Fort Worth police Lt. Dean Sullivan said.

The racing suit, part of a promotional display for the speedway’s 10th anniversary celebration, was taken from a storage closet in the TMS administrative offices in mid-November after it was given to Mr. Gossage as a gift.

The name of the employee suspected of stealing and later returning the suit was not released.

The case will be turned over to the Denton County District Attorney’s office, Lt. Sullivan said.

why and who was it - why keep the name a secret because
innocent until proven guilty. If anyone else, outside
of Nascar, it would of been mentioned.

Rest of the Story - get the feeling media knows but once
again, not reporting? I do….censorship sucks
