NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rookie Andy Lally was admitted to an area hospital for observation following a hard accident during the Casino Arizona 150 on Friday night at Phoenix International Raceway.
Lally, who was competing in his second career race for The Racer’s Group, was collected by a sliding Stacy Compton and hit the inside wall on the frontstretch so hard that it cracked the concrete part of the wall.
Lally was awake and alert but was going to be held overnight for observation.

I hope Andy is ok, that was a wicked wreck, that’s the first time I’ve seen a concrete wall break due to an impact like that, they need some form of a safer barrier on the inside wall.
This poor guy really got beat up because he was caught up in someone else’s wreck. Compton ran out of what little talent he has (as usual) and Jocko was coming on like a freight train. I can’t fault Jocko because it’s a typical short track move on a typical short track. Get out of the truck Compton. You’ve had some decent rides and even Chad Knaus as a crew chief, yet you don’t have a lot to show for all of your years in NASCAR. If Compton straightens the truck out, one less driver would be in the hospital. By the way, you suck as an ANALyst too.
How the the wall break though? Sounds like PIR needs some serious renovations.
Still can not read the page, going back where I can.
