International Speedway Corporation announced that the company has signed an exclusive ten-year agreement with Coca-Cola North America (CCNA). Specific financial terms were not released. Under the terms of the agreement, CCNA brands will become the “Official Soft Drink,” “Official Sparkling Beverage” and “Official Water” for 10 of ISC’s wholly owned and/or operated motorsports facilities; as well as the Daytona 500 Experience, the Ultimate Motorsports Attraction.
Beginning in January 2008, the partnership will include the following ISC properties:
Daytona International Speedway, including race entitlement rights for the facility’s July Nextel [to be Sprint] Cup and Busch series events; The DAYTONA 500 Experience; Chicagoland Speedway; Homestead-Miami Speedway; Kansas Speedway; Michigan International Speedway; Richmond International Raceway. The relationship will extend to Darlington Raceway in 2009, Talladega Superspeedway and Watkins Glen International in 2011, and Phoenix International Raceway in 2012 [no mention of Martinsville or California speedways].
Under the new agreement, CCNA beverages will be served exclusively at the facilities by Americrown, ISC’s catering, concessions and merchandising subsidiary, and by other facility concessionaires. In addition, CCNA will leverage its marketing expertise to create a variety of programs featuring ISC properties both at-track and wherever racing fans enjoy their favorite sport.

Go Coke.
Will Brian France suspend me if I bring Pepsi’s in the track?
Justin, you shouldn’t be bringing any sodas into the track… Wouldn’t that make you feel like a bit of a poser throwing soda cans at the #24 instead of beer cans like everyone else?
so is it now the coke 400, well it sux in my opinion. good drink, bad name. we already have the coke 600 and to me thats good enough
hey justin if jr drives for kellogs and the jr fans still hate him, then they will start throwing boxes of corn flakes out on the track
hey justin if jr drives for kellogs and the jr fans still hate him(jeff), then they will start throwing boxes of corn flakes out on the track
oops sorry about the double:)
I’m thirsty.
Hmmm, I hope they don’t start calling Daytona “The Coca-Cola International Speedway.” Ahh, that’ll never happen… The only way that could possibly happen is if they change the date of the Daytona 500… wait a sec…
Wait a second. Its Gatorade Victory Lane. Gatorade is a Pepsi product at all ISC tracks. So that means the winner of the Coke 400 pulls into a Pepsi sponsored victory lane.
Good job NASCAR
Hey Andrew , Nascar has been playing this game for several years. I’m copying and pasting a news story from 2004 that shows nascar pimps out victory lane to rival companies and then cant understand when theres a problem….NASCAR created the conflict between Powerade and Gatorade by allowing Powerade, the “official sports drink of NASCAR,” to place its large plastic bottles on top of the winning car each week. That, of course, is a problem for drivers who have personal services contracts with Gatorade or Pepsi.
To make matters worse, NASCAR allowed its sister company — International Speedway Corp. — to sell the rights to all its Victory Lanes to Gatorade. So now, at all ISC tracks, you have Powerade placing giant bottles on top of the winning car in Gatorade’s victory lane.
dont matter to me as long there is a race and when i go there theres beer!! bring on budwiser400
bring on budwiser
i say yeah to the budwiser 400 lot better then coke !!
Isnt it a lot of money to sponsor a race? I heard about 5-10 million to have the naming rights to a race. If thats the case Budweiser wont pay it. They wont be paying that much to be a sponsor of one race when they currently spend that to sponsor a series but even they wont sponsor the Busch anymore because nascar wants 30 million a year to be a series sponsor for Busch.
