Kyle Petty’s Victory Invitational Golf Tournament has announced a partnership with Coca-Cola for the NASCAR-themed golf benefit scheduled to take place in the Greater Phoenix area on Thursday, February 28, 2008.
Coca-Cola will join Kyle Petty’s Victory Invitational as a Victory-level sponsor, which lends naming rights to the soft drink company for the putting green at the charity outing:
Putting for Position Sponsored by Coca-Cola.
“Coca-Cola has been a longstanding supporter of Kyle’s efforts to help chronically ill children through the Victory Junction Gang Camp,” said Ben Reiling, director of motorsports at Coca-Cola North America. “By teeing it up as one of the premier sponsors of the first annual Kyle Petty Victory Invitational, we are continuing our commitment to support Kyle in this worthwhile effort.”
Coca-Cola and Kyle Petty’s Victory Invitational make a natural pair, as in 2008, Coca-Cola will again join Petty and his No. 45 Petty Enterprises Dodge in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as a primary and associate sponsor.
The focus of Kyle Petty’s Victory Invitational Celebrity Golf Tournament is to create a charitable partnership to raise funds for the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Arizona State University College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation.
By joining forces, both organizations can leverage their strengths by making a better tomorrow for children stricken with serious illness. Proceeds from the tournament and surrounding events will help support ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses, support for their families, and contribute to the ongoing training for the professionals who treat them. It’s a commitment to health, dreams, and education.

They had a thing on TV saying Coke, Pepsi, Ford and RCA/GE Corp sell stuff to Iran and Jordan on a daily basis through a third party/ subsidiary overseas. I was bummed when I heard that.
