Japan-based Toyota may not be the only Asian car maker in NASCAR in the coming years. DaimlerChrysler hasn’t sold its U.S. Chrysler division yet, but indications are two more major offers could be put on the table in the next few days.
And the big story is intense speculation in Detroit that China will be involved in one of the offers for Chrysler, in order to get a base for selling some of its cars in the U.S., as well as to use Chrysler expertise to expand its own internal car market.
China has become the world’s second-largest automobile market in the world, behind the United States.

what is this even about. chrysler is already foreign. hello, mercedes is the parent company!!!!! duhhhhhh
dodge isnt foriegn though, just cause the parent is, doesnt mean the car is, dodge is actually made, in North America, whether America or not, but dodge isnt foriegn just yet. Ford owns foriegn companys, but there American, i hate ford, Chevy all the way!
I hate it when people call The Chrysler Corp. a foriegn company. The only foriegn company with that merger is Daimler Benz and Mercedes. I hope this isn’t true at all. I also hope that the employee’s of the corporation come together to make it completely American again by buyin it out themselves.
The Chinese yeh, the Autoapocalypse is nigh! As often documented in Autoweek!
