Tony StewartFor the first time ever, race fans can watch the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals featuring a who’s who of racing stars, including NASCAR’s Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne, who’ll battle aboard 800-hp midgets for one of the most coveted trophies in motorsport. Broadcasted live worldwide by HBO Pay-Per-View, the star-studded dirt track race takes place on Saturday, January 12, 2008 from Tulsa, Okla.

Since its 1987 inception, the annual Chili Bowl has built a reputation as one of the premier and most unique motorsports events in America. Champions from various racing circuits travel to Tulsa’s QuikTrip Center during auto racing’s winter break for the opportunity to compete on the indoor, quarter mile-banked dirt oval in front of a sold-out crowd lucky enough to secure tickets the summer before. Motorsports Media Entertainment is promoting the broadcast in conjunction with HBO Pay-Per-View and title sponsor Lucas Oil. NeWave TV Productions of Tinley Park, Ill. is handling the event TV production. General Tire and Dodge are presenting sponsors.

The live broadcast on Saturday, January 12 begins at 8:00 p.m. ET, with an immediate pay-per-view replay and additional replays on Sunday. The HBO Pay-Per-View racing telecast has a suggested retail price $24.95 and will be available to more than 61 million pay-per-view homes in the United States and Canada and millions more worldwide. Ordering information is available at www.hbo.com.

I can’t wait for this one. I wish Jeff Gordon was racing in it. That would be great. I bet Tony would have a heck of a lot harder time winning it then.

Saw the heading saying it’ll be on tv, and was Happy. Saw that it was on PPV and was mad. If I wanted to spend more money to see the race, then I’d go watch it in person.

finally ill get to see stewart win it and not just read about it. and trey if gordon were racing in it he would probrably wreck. he doesnt have nearly the all around racing skills tony has.

As much as I dislike Jeffery, he was a better midget racer then Smoke ever was. Tony has even said that.

I’m with Fisha695. I was all fired up for it, then I saw it was PPV and laughed. I was happy to pay the $25 to see Tony’s race at Eldora, since all the proceeds went to Victory Junction Gang, but I’m not paying $25 for some guy in Oklahoma to get rich off the TV rights to the race!

The Prelude To The Dream was on PPV too. A week later it was on one of the cable channels. Then I recorded it.

yea jeffie is better huh? then how come jeff doesnt have the triple crown like say oh Tony Stewart. Tony was the first driver to get it and then he helped JJ yeley get it.

So going by what you are saying Mikey Waltrip is a better racer then Dale sr, because Mikey won the 500 twice and Ralph sr didnt.

Jeff G. would wax Tony’s a__. I would gladly pay the 25 to watch all the racing at least that day. But for one race, the main event, it’s not worth it at all. The guy in the leads jumps out half a stretch and everyone chases him for 50 laps, whooptie do.
