Richard ChildressRichard Childress says he hopes to have a decision about the driver for his planned fourth Cup team next season within the next two or three weeks. And it may come down to Kyle Busch’s call: “We have talked,” Childress said. “He’s definitely a candidate.

“We’re looking at doing four teams if it’s right and it makes sense. There are three or four guys we’re looking at. But it’s all got to come together right to make it work.”

Sponsorship is not expected to be any major issue.

10 bucks its Scott Wimmer i called this a month ago and made a bet with my cousin, Scott Wimmer will be in the 4th car at Richard Childress. Also i called soon as the merge between DEI and Ginn, i say that Regan Smith is out, Mark can perform in the 01, he cant so its drivers fault there not team. Aric Armorola will finish out Regans schedule driving in the 01, at the end of the Season Ricky Carmicheal will be driving busch full time, and he will take over the partial Schedule with Mark Martin in the nextel cup 01, Aric Armorola will be transfered over the #8, and if its not number eight, otherwords, hes taking over the spot Dale Jr leaves, unless Kyle Busch is hired, but doesnt sound likely anymore. So this will be the line up for 2008

    31-Burton
    29-harvick
    07-Boywer
    33/4th ride- Scott wimmer

    15-Menard
    1-Truex Jr
8- Aric Armorola full time replacement
    01/developmental program- Mark Martin/Ricky Carmicheal

i call it right here right now, keep this is mind cause thats the most obviously plan for 2008, if they take the plans and put them together, if they bonzeye everything, then itll be different but right now thats looking like it, and Kyle Busch will be at either Yates, Penske, Gibbs, or Evernham. Kyle busch thats a guess is where he’ll be i hate his attitude, hes an alright driver, which can earn any of those rides, Penske sounds likely because itlll be the bros and itll be penskes 3rd team or 4th, i think 3rd.

Wimmer would be OK. Just hope its not Busch. He would cause lots of problems.

Wimmer does not attract sponsors. He is a good guy. He’s not bad behind the wheel of a car but the series is loaded with guys like that. You need someone that will make a difference. He’s already on the payroll and he’s doing R & D now. He could be Childess’ choice but not his first. If RCR fails to land a bigger name, the ride is his. He’s had a very undistinguished career and a problem with drinking and driving a few years ago. Tim Fedewa is a better driver and he’s working as a spotter.
