Childress still contemplating a 4th team for 2008

Now that he’s lost out on the Kyle Busch sweepstakes, car owner Richard Childress is contemplating his next move. He’d like to add another quality Nextel Cup Series driver to his team so he can put a fourth full time car on the track next season. However, time is running out to get that done.
“We’ll make a decision by September 15th if we’re going to do it or not”; said Childress. “That’s my deadline I’ve set. If we don’t do it by then we probably won’t do it.” If the pieces don’t fall into place, RC says “We’ll run four cars some races next year, but there’s a couple of opportunities out there that’s not even in NASCAR.” When asked if one possibility was Canadian Patrick Carpentier, Childress would only say; “He’s not on my list…but you are getting in a good area.”

Rusty Wallace turned down the offer but hey his brother needs a ride id love to see Kenny Wallace in a RCR ride then he may get himself a win
Well let’s see who could RCR pick as and up and coming driver ??
How about starting a new team around a driver already friends with the RCR bunch, a driver who knows there driving style and has already been introduced to Kevin Harvick & Burton on the track. Marcos Ambrose fits that description perfectly.
Now if only Richard can get the 29/31 teams to forgive and forget… Marcos would make and excellent choice.
SCOTT WIMMER thats all im saying
We don’t need Scott Wimmer back here.
We have an upgraded version, Juan Montoya. :]
Kidding people.
I read a report on foxsports.com that had Bobby Labonte possibly being the 4th member of RCR.
I think Bobby said he wanted to stay at Petty’s?
I’m not to sure about that though. Would be interesting
though.
Reutimann or Vickers would be good. Vickers team will probably lose Red Bull and Reutimann has been doing better than expected driving for a much maligned team. He’s been under the radar and has done a better job than he gets credit for.
how about sterling marlin in the fourth team
