Checkers/Rally’s back to support pit crews

Checkers/Rally’s, the Official Burger and Drive-Thru Restaurant of NASCAR, announced that it is continuing its popular Double Drive-Thru Challenge program that recognizes and rewards pit crew members in all three of NASCAR’s top series.
The 2007 NASCAR season marks Checkers/Rally’s third consecutive year as the primary sponsor of the year-long pit crew competition. The Checkers/Rally’s Double Drive-Thru Challenge kicks off this weekend with three races scheduled at Daytona International Speedway.
The Checkers/Rally’s Double Drive-Thru Challenge prize money has increased to $11,000 per race for the winning Nextel Cup pit crew. An additional $111,150 bonus will be awarded to the pit crew with the most wins at the completion of the 36-race schedule. The program will also pay out a combined total of $157,500 in the Busch and Truck Series.
During the 2006 season, 15 different teams picked up Double Drive-Thru Challenge wins in the Nextel Cup Series, with the championship going to Jimmie Johnson’s #48 pit crew, which collected five victories and winnings of $157,500.
