In 2003 NASCAR was developing an air cleaner for this (i know this because i was developing a similar device for a research and development class) , what happened to that. The Drivers have helmets with cold air intake all you need to do is run cleaned air in that and it will help.

I think the cars were great looking but it seems that Nascar is having more issues with saftey again. With the exhast leaks happening, i thing they shoul man date a certain thick ness in exhast pipes for all the cars. As a dirt track racer, We are there for the fans to enjoy watching us speed around the track and not have these problems like they do. They are driving high dollar cars that are gone thru down to the very metal under the paint. they shouldn’t be having problems with their cars like we dirt track racers who have at least a $3,500 car that run lower speeds. Nascar NEEDS to mand date items that deal with the drivers saftey.

Oh well that is all we need…43 guys in race cars going at a high rate of speed, while slowly being poisoned by carbon monoxide! If you can’t get it right the first time??? Hello???Don’t forget…we are talking about their lives! Get it right or give it up! Too much is at stake here!

Didn;t Rick Mast have to quit racing due to complications of carbon monoxide? Seems like Nascar ought to be taking that more seriously and making sure it doesn;t happen for any reason
