NASCAR’s “Car of Tomorrow” will make take its first laps around the high-banked Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Dec. 11 as five drivers will conduct a tire test on behalf of Goodyear. Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Burton, Kasey Kahne and Travis Kvapil will take part in the two-day test. It will be a significant test for both the race teams and the speedway.
This past year’s Nextel Cup and Busch events were the first for each series since the speedway’s banking was increased from 12 to 20 degrees. The five drivers will help Goodyear select a tire for the UAW-Dodge 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event on March 2, 2008. The test is not open to the public.

I hope they give a softer tire to the teams next year. it mite make the cars go alittle slower, but i think the real drivers will show. make the cars drive/ handle like they did 20 years ago. i just think it would be more fun to watch.
I hope we can finally stop calling this piece of crap the COT. These cookie cutter cars put the racing back into the driver’s hands. Like IROC in a way. I just hope they resolve the tire issues.
