Is this the same idiot from the LIP that writes all those other stupid articles?

NASCAR has been doing things this way for 60 years, Teams, Drivers, Sponsors, Officials, and Fans all know that qualifying may at any time for any reason be canceled.

Last year at Indy it rained on Friday afternoon when they were to take to the track. What did officials do? They practiced Saturday AM when they were to qualify and then qualified later in the day. I believe they then threw a competition yellow after so many laps to insure tire wear etc. I am sure they could do in cup what they do in CTS and Nationwide. I think too the cup guys get way too many chances to practice over two days compared to the lesser series and it only helps the teams with deep pockets.
