Kyle BuschKyle Busch made no secret of the fact that his days of teamwork at Hendrick Motorsports are over according to the 22 year old.

Busch bemoaned the fact that his Hendrick teammates [Gordon, Johnson and Mears] seemed unwilling to draft with him in the closing stages of last nights’ Pepsi 400 at Daytona. Busch leaves the team at the end of the season.

“There was a few opportunities to get behind me and help me, the 24 [of Jeff Gordon] especially,” Busch said. “We were running there behind him and then he got passed by the 26 [of Jamie McMurray]. We got by the 24 there and I ducked all the way down to the inside and was on the inside lane and Jeff I think was clear or was clear the lap later and could have came down and helped us and got three Hendrick cars in a row - me, him and the 48 [of Jimmie Johnson] - but chose not to do so and chose to stay up high and help another Roush car.

“It was just frustrating with that and then Jimmie got booted out of there, I guess, and Kurt [Busch] got up there. Then Kurt and I got together and that was probably the best tandem that we had all day long and the best situation we were in. We just didn’t have quite enough in order to keep it in front of that 26. He was pretty strong.”

“That’s what I’m alluding to basically but walking down pit road saying congratulations to Jeff Gordon I got blown off so I guess I’m the outsider looking in now and I’m probably not going to be invited into the team meetings next week so I think bliss is over at Hendrick Motorsports for Kyle Busch,” said Busch, who is fielding offers for next year. “We’ll get ready for 2008.”

MAN KYLE, STOP CRYING GOSH, U GOT 2ND WAT MORE CAN U ASK FOR, ITS YOUR BEST FINISH IN LIKE FOREVER, AND U ARE REALLY STARTING TO SOUND LIKE UR BRO.

  2. 2 Jamie

As much as I dislike Kyle, I’m starting to feel a little bad for the guy. The way his “teammates” are treating him, especially Jeff, it’s just wrong.

  3. 3 Alesia

That is such a load of BS Kyle!As the announcers said themselves when it comes time for a
leading position towards the end it’s everyone for themselves. And as far as his brother helping him
it looked more like his brother could have helped more in the end but he didn’t cause he was looking
to get better position himself. It’s all about the better finishes. And as far as Jeff blowing him off
I saw the interview Jeff was doing when Kyle walked by and slapped Jeff on the shoulder.Jeff turned
around and smiled at him. What did he want Jeff to do?Do the other guys have to hold Kyle’s hand
    through every race?Grow up Kyle:(

  4. 4 hot rod todd

who cares!!!!! they would not draft with him, it looked like he was driven a sprint car not a cup car. and who wants to help a smart *ss kid any way?

  5. 5 Racedriven

This is the samething we saw with Brian Vickers, once a driver announces that he is leaving Hendrick Motorsports in anyway, then that driver is treated differently, no more teammates and no more team meetings.

Now thats in general, but in the case of Vickers and Busch, no one cares, I know I don’t… Busch, in this case you got 2nd place, live with it, like pointed about by Bianca, its your best finish in like forever… and he is just like his brother, two cry babies and Kurt doesn’t act like a Nextel Cup championship.

I would like to see what would happen if Johnson or Mears announced that they were leaqving, then would the same apply? See Yeah!

  6. 6 Breanna.

Yeah everybody had already pretty much called that that was going to
happen before the race even started because loyalties change that
easily at Hendrick Motorsports. It’s amazing they compete as well as
they do when there’s apparently not much comraderie. And you can’t use
the excuse that he’s leaving at the end of the year this time like you
can with locking him out of the team meetings because there’s no
information that could be potentially passed on in this situation, it’s
just a matter of remaining loyal to your teammates until their contract
    is complete.

The Pepsi 400 shows you just what kind of organization that Hendrick
Motorsports has become. Personally, I have always liked the way
the Hendrick teams always seemed to work together in the past. Then,
the 25 car had recently become the bastard of the organization. Always be shutout
and never getting the support as a full fledge teammate. Now, the
tide has turned and it is the 5 car. Thats sad. If you own a group
of cars, you should try and help each car and driver. One example,
Roush, or a better example, Andretti-Green racing does IRL. Shunning
a teammate does nothing but shows how much of a cocky **** you can be.
The next time a Hendrick car is leading a race with a few laps to go
and Busch is running second, I hope he has the balls to make a
statement and take them out. Then get out of the car and say, hey,
what teammate, we were just racing. I meant just to raddle his cage.

  9. 9 Andrew

as a rfamous man once said,
    “Son, quit your b!tchin”

  10. 10 Phillip

Kyle needs to grow up. In the whole race Kyle never helped his teammates. PLus, Jeff did the right thing in drafting Jaime. Jaime had a good car all night, if it wasn’t for him going under the yellow line then he would’ve dominated that race. Jeff chosed the right guy to follow. Kyle just needs to shut the hell up. If he feels like he;s not being treated right then Hendrick should juet let him go.

  11. 11 Metta

Its everyman for himself in the final laps.. Kyle is a crybaby.. Jeff, Jimmie, anyone
would have done what was best for themselfs.. do you relly think Jeff Gordon was thinking
about teamates heck no he wanted to win.. as for Kyles best finish he won the very first
cot race so he has a win this year that wasn’t his best..

  12. 12 Mattbilder24

Wow, what a pathetic article. Kyle should be called the whiner of nascar not any of the other guys.

  13. 13 Oscar

um, isn’t a team supposed to work together? you’re all retarded just saying he’s whiny and shit but if you were Kyle and none of your teammates helped you to the victory you would moan and bitch too. i’m glad kyle is leaving Hendrick its all a conspiracy d00d

  14. 14 Terri

During the tv interview with Kyle, Jeff walked by him and tapped him on the shoulder……does Kyle think that Jeff gave him the cold shoulder or what? I, for one, am glad he is leaving cause he turns my stomach with his complaining and whining!!!!!

  15. 15 Axel Foley

Team is a new concept in NASCAR. Who says it should last?

  16. 16 Joe

damn we had one hell of a race saturday night and do we hear about Jamie getting the win in one of the best races ever No!!! all we hear about is Kyle and Tony crying cuz thing did not go the way they wanted. well i’m sure 40 other drivers want thing to go a different way with them in victory circle but they aint crying to whoever will listen.

  17. 17 Andrew

    Terri;
He was giving an interview, he turned smiles and even gave him a good thumbs up.
What was he supposed to do? Chase hime down and say GREAT RACE KYLE YOUR THE GREATEST DRIVER EVERS?

  18. 18 strech

yea he whines some but look who hes learnin from. johnson an gordon. ha theyre the wineiest bunch in all of nascar. las time i heard the 5 an 25 were in separate buildings thsan the 24 an 48. equality my ass. mears an kyle are cool gordon an johnson talk like pricks. they also bitch an complain wen they dont get their way throw tempertantrums. never seen kyle or mears do that. hendrick sucks ass. kyle needs to be at a different team to showcase his tru talent an not have to worry bout his team mates whinin so damn much. i think mears should gosomwhere else too. not back to ganassi but to rcr or gibbs or even roush if they can get their ____ straight.

  19. 19 strech

i forgot to put this in… kyle jus got flat out beat at the line staurday nite. nothin to complain bout there. as for the rest of it. yea. f*** hendrick

  20. 20 Andrew

stretch just stop writing, you have no idea how to spell at all so just give up. PLEASE. for your own sake.

  21. 21 jeff

yea if ur gonna cuss do it right f#$@#$#@

  22. 22 Mattbilder24

ya please shut up stretch i don’t think i’ve ever read something as stupid as u just typed.

  23. 23 Mattbilder24

ya please shut up strech i don’t think i’ve ever read something as stupid as u just typed.

  24. 24 Terri

Andrew, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I am defending Jeff not Kyle. Kyle is a baby and I am glad he is leaving…….I can’t stand Kyle.

  25. 25 Dreggsta

Yeah!! F*** Hendrick. That’s what the 24 & 48 say to their teammates. I remember back before the infamous first win by Vickers when it looked like he might win a race w/the 48 helping. I also remember the 48 ditching him for the win. Now back to that infamous Vicker’s victory, does it really seem that shallow of Vickers to wanna ditch the 48 the same way he got ditched? It was shi**y that he wrecked the 48 & 8 but is it possible that if he felt like he was a teammate then he might have stayed behind Johnson thus not wrecking two cars? To hell w/everyone calling Kyle a crybaby & that he’s whining. He didn’t say anything about finishing second. Understandably he’s pissed b/c someone ho’d him out (24). I just hope that the “good ole boys club” at HMS does that to Jr. when he gets there. He’ll give them the a**-whooping they deserve. F*** Hendrick!

  26. 26 48

Whatever HATERS If Jr. acted (which he has) the way Gordon and Johnson are acting it would be like go JR. and hes leavening so the heck with him and all cheering him and stuff. But since Hendricks is the best team then everyone is dogging them. I for one am sick of it. GO HENDRICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. 27 Chris

If you would all go back and watch the final 20 or so laps, before Jeff got the lead there for a bit, you would realize that at a few different times, the 24, 48 and 5 were running up at the top trying to go to the front.. Busch leading that group. Busch wasn’t going anywhere, wasnt really going to the front and in my eyes, holding up the others. Jeff went around him, so did the 48, and Jeff took the lead soon after.

Kyle was loose as well, and when a car is loose infront of you it takes away from the power of the draft. Why would Jeff want to draft w/ him, especially since its the closing laps?

Jeff ducked down there at the end and helped push the train of Edwards and Busch…

Bush likes to bitch, just like his brother.

He still finished second, he is a good driver, with a TON of potential, he just needs to lean to harness it and use his language toward other drivers correctly instead of whining…

Until then, he can go find a wall to crash into or something… That would be fine by me.

  28. 28 stephanie

jeff, casey and jimmie should have helped him if they could. and there was times when casey and jimmie was right behind him and would not help for nothin. do not get me wrong im a fan of jeff, casey and jimmie but it upsets me when they want work with Kyle yeah he is leaving HMS at end of season but for right not kyle is still there teammate. and i bet ya anything when they go too daga Jimmie. casey are jeff will not have kyle’s help you can bet that. kyle will help his brother and ryan before he helps Jeff, Casey are Jimmie.

PS. not sure why Vinnie name is showing up when i post on here sorry about that Vinnie

  29. 29 gigolo george

The next time KyBu sets foot in the Hendrick’s compound, he’ll be stopped by security and told the area is for employees only.

  30. 30 Anonymous

I was watching as Kyle congratulated Jeff after the race. Jeff was giving an interview
and Kyle walked by him and patted him on the arm. Jeff smiled at him as he was talking,
so I don’t see how he was blown off. I’m sure Kyle feels a little betrayed and out of
place right now, but I don’t see how overreacting to things is going to make it any
easier for him. And I totally understand why a team would be selective about the information
they let a driver have that won’t be with them next year.

  31. 31 Andrew

What people need to realize is Kyle brings alot of this apon himself all the time.

  32. 32 Oscar

I love Jimmie Johnson, he is the only REAL driver in NASCAR nowadays :D

  33. 33 Breanna.

    Pfffffffft

  34. 34 gkirb

So now he wants A owner that will stand up for him no matter what bone head thing he does and team mates that will push him to the wins also, Wake up this is the big time Kyle the only team mates you have are the ones working on your car the other drivers are looking out for them self and there sponsers. There is nothing in there contract that says they have to baby set you, Hendrick has been babying you for several years and now he is done . It is time to get off the t*tty and be a man or race the busch series full time. Rick is done cleening up after you your on your own!

  35. 35 Chris

    Kyle, you are an idiot.

I wonder how long it will be until we see Kyle Busch pulling a Brian Vickers (like when Vickers wrecked Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson at Talladega on the last lap.)

  36. 36 RedDevil

some of you need to get a job.. or a girl whichever works.

  37. 37 Jenjen48

Kyle Busch is such a baby! I hate dale jr but it just might be better to have him as a teammate than kyle.

  38. 38 Me

I’m not exactly sure if all of us are watching the same races or not. If anyone saw the race with Vickers, they would’ve noticed the car in front of Vickers hit a wall of air pulling out which slowed him down enough that Vickers didn’t have enough time to get behind him without hitting him. It was not intentional, and the driver interviews they knew it wasn’t intentional. I’m not a Kyle Busch fan but this is starting to get ridiculous. And above, when someone actually backs him up the only thing you have to say is “stretch just stop writing, you have no idea how to spell at all so just give up. PLEASE. for your own sake”. Seriously, that’s the only comeback you have? Who gives a damn if he can spell or not? I’m a NASCAR fan and can give credit where credit is due, doesn’t matter the driver. Kyle Busch does need to grow up some but damn he has potential. And about Jeff & Jimmie not whining and being the greatest drivers… how many weeks off has Chad had the past 2 years? Sorry, but every day I come on here and read the stories and the comments and people can just get down right NASTY with their opinion.
