NASCARNASCAR insiders know that there is no such thing as an ‘off season.’ Just ask #2-Kurt Busch, #12-Ryan Newman and #99-Carl Edwards, whose teams and cars are testing this month at Memphis Motorsports Park.

Kurt Busch tested in Memphis in August in advance of the stretch run to the Chase for the Cup, and was back for a two-day test this week with Penske Racing South teammate Ryan Newman and the teams #2 and #12 Cars of Tomorrow. Carl Edwards / R.E. Technologies Racing, a Memphis-based USAC team, tested at their ‘home’ track on Dec. 8, in advance of the Dec. 13 PRA Big Car Championship 100 at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Fla.

While Edwards’ schedule conflicted with the test, he was represented by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. as well as Edwards’ brother, Kenny, who made his first official foray onto a paved oval.
