Future Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin will get a chance to test their upcoming relationship when both drive for Billy Ballew Motorsports in this weekend’s Kroger 200 Craftsman Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway.
Busch is entered in the team’s No. 51 Chevrolet, while Hamlin will drive the No. 15. Busch is joining JGR to drive that team’s No. 18 Toyota in the Sprint Cup Series next season as a teammate to Hamlin and Tony Stewart.
“It’s going to be cool to race against Denny in the truck this weekend in Martinsville,” Busch said in a news release. “We’re going to be teammates next year, but we’re great friends off the track, so it will be kind of the first time that we will be comparing notes and actually on the same team. It’s going to be pretty cool.”

Wonder how long before these two hotheads will go to blows!
TT, I’d have to set the over/under at about 6 weeks into the ‘08 season, especially with Tony in there stirring up trouble too!
Yeah, you throw the ‘calm and collected’ TS in the mix…
I was really thinking about this lineup of drivers next year…..Gibbs is crazy!
They’d have been better off getting someone like Mark Martin who’s a calming influence and a class veteran.
Now they have three powder kegs!
If all drivers were calm all the tme then racing will be as boring as ever. Not that I have anything against Mark.
