Boris Said told Sirius NASCAR Radio’s Sirius Speedway Thursday that his 2008 plans are to race in the Bodine Bobsled Challenge, the Rolex 24 at Daytona, attempting five Sprint Cup races, including the Daytona 500 and the road course races in a Ford working with Roush and with SoBe NoFear Energy Drink as the sponsor.
Said also a deal to run the three Nationwide Series road races but didn’t say what team. Said has also partnered with Rick Hendrick to open Boris Said BMW in California later in 2008.

Boris is so cool. I think he makes a race more enjoyable with his great attitude and his great talent. Too bad he gets screwed by the 35 qualified car rule or the rain everytime he races.
i agree wit justin4roush 100%. drop the top 35. maybe then boris would get to show his true talent behind the wheel.
My question is, where does he race the rest of the season? Will we see him in the Rolex Series or American Le Mans?
Boris is a cool guy but a 3 piece suit owner of a BMW dealership. Better they make a bobble head doll of him that would be something I would buy. That fuzzy mop bobbin on the dash would really be the in thing to have on your new Said BMW.

My guess is he’ll probably split some time between a few Rolex DP and GT teams, and the ALMS Vettes, and he’ll probaly do some SCCA racing, and probaly some testing/road course driver development for some teams.
Don’t get me started on this clown. It’s way to easy. He couldn’t come up with a real full time sponsor in any NASCAR series since he started racing. He never will. Roush was giving up Said’s garage space too. Jack wanted someone to buy the team and use the shop Said was using. Jack would then furnish equipment and man power. How come Said can’t use a real break when he gets one? He seems like an all right guy but he just hasn’t cut it in NASCAR. An occasional road race or two doesn’t make you a superstar here. You have to win. Even a guy like Pruett has landed full time rides in NASCAR at one time or another. When he didn’t win, he was bounced. All these open wheel guys are here now with full time rides and Said Head is on the outside, once again, looking in.
Said has a great attitude? Unles he has changed over the past 5 years he has always been the hardcore driver always wanting a win no matter what it takes.
For guest though, he never really wanted a full time ride. He was brought in as the part time road racer, then tried to see if he could start his own team. He didn’t have Rousch’s full support and realized how expensive it was to run in the series without a proven team. He wasn’t getting the brand new Rousch engines are chassis, he was getting their old stuff and you can’t win with that in NASCAR when you compete against teams like hendrick.
Said is kinda like Schrader. He doesn’t care what he’s racing, he just wants to race.
Say what you want about Boris, but he WILL be successful at whatever he does.
The man is well-liked, well-respected, talented, knowledgeable, and straightforward.
He’s got all the qualities it takes to be a winner…with or without NASCAR.
That is a HORRIBLE picture of him…LOL
This is basically a NASCAR forum and we’re talking about afro head not being able to cut it here. Yes he is successful in other series but we are talking NASCAR. NASCAR, where idiots like Brett Bodine, Kevin Lepage and Nemechek flourished and got full time rides and sponsors year after year. Afro head is better than the 3 of them put together.
1) the only good pictures of boris are when his helmet is on!
2) Anyone know if he’s running the Nurburgring 24h again?
