Bill Lester, driver of the No. 15 Craftsman Truck will be stepping out of the truck due to a temporary lack of sponsorship.
“We still support Bill (Lester) and his efforts on the track and we are working diligently with him to locate a sponsor so that we can continue through the 2007 season and beyond,” team owner Billy Ballew said.

This is too bad. He’s not a bad driver and deserves a few more breaks than some with lesser talent. If NASCAR wants diversity, Lester is a good place to start, unless you are only looking for Hispanic diversity (my opinion is that there is probably more money there).
He should talk to ATT they will have a sponsorship available soon.
I just hope Messy Jackson and Al (your pal) Sharpton don’t get involved. It has nothing to do with Lester’s skin color. So don’t make it an issue. Said can’t get funding for his Cup team and I don’t see those goofs two helping him.
Ballews trucks have run good and have had about every small time sponser in Atlanta on the truck at one time. You’d think some major business with African American ownership would jump at this chance. What about it Atlanta…somebody has some money.
