Bill Davis Trucking, Inc., founded in 1975 by Bill and Gail Davis, announced it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Today’s action was necessitated by an injury accident and an ensuing lawsuit against the company, based in Batesville, Arkansas.
“This has been a very unfortunate chain of events and Gail and I certainly hate that it ever had to happen,” stated Bill Davis. “Bill Davis Trucking and Bill Davis Racing are two completely separate entities and the race team will in no way be affected by today’s announcement.”

SHould not have let Jeff Gordon go back in 1992
Had BDR kept Jeff Gordon..he would have 5 wins and 0 Championships..as compared to 80 wins and 4 championships…cause BDR equip SUCKS…
Not my favorite person either after the way he parted company with Ward. I have always hoped that CAT would call his cell on a Tues afternoon to notify him that their contract was terminated and his lip service would no longer be needed.
Bill Davis is a big story teller. First he was selling, then sold, then didn’t sell part of his team. Then his other business went bankrupt. Get out while you can Bill because you lose credibility with each passing day.
I have found out that Bill Davis Trucking was not forced into Bankruptcy. He filed for Bankruptcy to get out of paying the hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills he owed, due a major injury accident that caused a couple in California multiple severe injuries , now be permantly disabled and in Bankruptcy themselfs. He was not forced into Bankruptcy !!!! hiding behind the BK law !!!
No ethics…..
