Arrest made in murder of Team Red Bull member

A Taylorsville man was charged with the Saturday slaying of James Sprinkle, a NASCAR mechanic for the Red Bull racing team, according to the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
Earl Wayne Flowers, 51, of Gravel Hill Court, was arrested at about 3 p.m. Thursday. He received no bond and was in the Alexander County Detention Center Thursday, charged with one count of murder.
Emergency responders found Sprinkle with a gunshot wound to the chest at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Sprinkle, 44, was transported to Iredell Memorial Hospital, where he died. His funeral was Wednesday.

yea earl wayne flowers was my uncle and he did not kill that
man!! i know cause i was at his house that night watching his
his little boy for him because hus girlfriend was at work and
he had some work to do outside on his car!! jimmy sprinkle’s
wife silvia sprinkle had called and wanted my uncle to come
so he did and when he pulled up the both came out tripping
and she shot him and blamed it on my uncle earl wayne flowers
