Team Red Bull has been accused of paying 200 to 300 percent more to hire John Probst, a top Ford engineer. Dan Davis, director of Ford Racing Technology, said he heard that Michael Waltrip Racing came up with more than $20 million to lure Dale Jarrett away from the Yates team.
Salaries are a closely held secret throughout NASCAR, and Michael Waltrip Racing officials have denied those figures.

@$#@ you Toyota

Serg, it may be because they know it’s mostly about setup and aero in NASCAR. If you can get a driver to give good feedback and not burn the tires up early, a well engineered, slippery car will beat a better driver.
Plus, they don’t exactly have hacks at the wheel. They have an interesting mix of experience, young talent and business acumen.
