I was in the automotive aftermarket for about 25 years and then one day, I just quit. Parts, service, management and even ownership for a few years. I had to give a lifetime warranty on certain parts and services. All good stuff (Goodyear, AC-Delco, Motorcraft, Moog). I had to stand behind a $15 cv boot or $25 ball joint that went bad. I was eventually reimbursed by the manufacturer, as is the Depot. Everyone is competing for the same dollars. Customer service usually makes up for that. Not anymore. That's just the way the world is today. I had an identical machine for 3 years that worked flawlessly. It is a pretty decent unit. I had to replace it because while we were remodeling my office, it was accidentally destroyed by a carpenter (knocked it on the floor and tripped over it). Now Fisha, the Depot didn't make the unit, but they did take my money. It's not their fault or mine that it's defective. They signed on to represent Panasonic and to make money doing so. There's nothing wrong with that. But blowing off a loyal customer that shops in your stores every week isn't exactly a public relations coup. I guess I will shop elsewhere and not at a NASCAR sponsor for all my office needs from now on.

Its not like Office Depot made the fax machine.

Plus your problem is you bought a Panasonic, I had a Digital camera from them and it didn't work right from Day one.

I hope AFLAC is the new sponsor because I'm peed at Office Depot. I bought a new laser print fax machine in September of 2007. I could've bought it a little cheaper at the "other guys" but I'm an idiot and support NASCAR sponsors. It acts up and I call the Depot. They say "can't help ya". I said it has a one year warranty. Again, "can't help". I'm told to call Panasonic. They say find a repair facility. I found one. After waiting 6 weeks for parts, I got it back. In the meantime, I had to dig out the old fax machine and lost 6 weeks of warranty time because the new one was in the shop. Two days after getting it back, it goofed up again. Same problem. That just happened over the weekend. Office Depot wasn't shy about taking my money but were shy at giving me customer satisfaction. They look like they're shy about parting with more money for Edwards. I'm not surprised.
