6 Dodges crash in Las Vegas first Sprint Cup practice
Quote selected text Published February 29th, 2008 in NASCAR News
Halfway through the first NASCAR Sprint Cup practice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, six drivers had wrecked – all in Dodges.
Patrick Carpentier wrecked early in practice, followed by Sam Hornish Jr., Juan Pablo Montoya, Reed Sorenson and Kasey Kahne. Carpentier and Kahne (Gillett Evernham Motorsports) are teammates, as are Montoya and Sorenson (Chip Ganassi Racing). Petty Enterprises Bobby Labonte crashed later in the session.
The Dodges of Montoya and Labonte seemed to have the most damage, smashing the rear and right side of his car. Both will be forced to go to a backup car for the remainder of the race weekend.
