NASCAR will run Busch Series if sponsor can’t be found

NASCAR is working on contingency plans for next season as it has yet to secure a sponsor for its Busch Series.
“We’ll have that series regardless of whether a new sponsor is obtained,” said Jim Hunter, NASCAR’s vice president for corporate communications.
“We’ll have to come up with a new name. We’ve actually run series without sponsors before.

Nascar Grand National Series, just like the old days…
If that rumor about pony cars turns out to be true, maybe they won’t have to worry about it. I’m sure it would be easier to get a title sponsor as a different series than just “Cup Lite”
i think for sure if the pony cars come it will bring a whole croud to the sport and a new group of sponsors. i think its going to be a good thing. if they cant find a sponser for 2008 then call it Nascar Grand National Series like nick said.
