im not a hendrick fan but kudos to Mears…hes been well overdue but nascar kept screwing him with Cautions..good luck man ill chear you on just not the rest of hendricks when they win
Everyone gets screwed by something, that’s how racing is and always has been. Mears usually gets screwed by his own inability.
Congratulations to him doing his job but there is nothing spectacular about a driver winning due to fuel mileage. The team deserves as much credit as anyone.
Good job Casey! It was sooner or later you’d get one.
His first and last win in Cup. He’s a regular Brett Bodine. Some day, he’ll be driving the pace car too. Remember that even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while.
Gigolo what do you base your statement on? He is an elite driver who has been in position to win a few tiems. He is with an elite team (new) new crew chief, new car chief. It is going to take time to adjust. but good job casey. expecting many more
Elite? Casey has been in cup for years. Where’s the adjustment? He has been on an even keel of bad performance since he started. One fuel mileage victor is nothing, even at Charlotte, especially considering he is in a Hendrick cark. I would call Robby Gordon elite before Mears and that still makes me wanna vomit. …Brett Bodine is a good comparison. Casey will be full time in the truck series before long, that is, it anyone is blind enough to take him.
Blind squirrels also get ran over, just like Mears has from the beginning. If he didn’t have the Mears last name he would have been dead and buried long ago. He has no driving talent and no personality.
