Mayfield unleashes strong words at stepmother, Brian France

Jeremy Mayfield didn’t spare his stepmother or NASCAR in defending himself against Wednesday’s report that he has again tested positive for methamphetamines. NASCAR filed court papers on Wednesday saying that his most recent drug test came back positive and including an affidavit from Mayfield’s stepmother Lisa who claims to have seen the racer using drugs on numerous occasions. Mayfield said he does not trust NASCAR testing and saved his strongest words for his stepmother. “She’s basically a whore,” he told ESPN.com’s David Newton. “She shot and killed my dad.”
Mayfield’s father Terry died in 2007 at age 56, and Mayfield told ESPN.com that his stepmother will be served with a wrongful death suit on Thursday. “She knows what we’ve got on her,” Mayfield said. “For her to come out and do this is pretty ballsy. Everybody that’s ever know me knows I never, ever have been around her for more than 10 hours of my life. She’s a gold digger. I knew that from Day 1.”
Although he said he has no proof, Mayfield claimed that NASCAR paid Lisa Mayfield for her affidavit. “It wouldn’t take much money. She tried to get money from me,” Mayfield said. “I have a very short fuse when it comes to her.” Mayfield said he has been tested for drugs every two to five days by an independent lab and never tested positive. He said it was no coincidence that the tests by NASCAR’s lab resulted in his suspension and now another positive test. In blasting NASCAR, he went straight for the top, chairman Brian France.
“Brian France talking about effective drug programs is like having Al Capone talking about effective law enforcement,” Mayfield said.

If his stepmother shot his father and that led to his death (even accidentally) Charges would have been pressed by the Police in 2007.
If his stepmother somehow didn’t stop his father from shooting himself, charges would have been pressed automatically by the police in 2007.
If I didn’t like my stepmother from day 1, and she shot my father and killed him or was involved in it some way, You can be dang sure that I wouldn’t wait 2 years to press charges and use it as a form of Extortion.
If she is a Gold digger then why did Jeremy borrow money from her just a few weeks ago so he could pay his personal bills.
This guy is such a liar. Hes making a movie now, but he cant pay his cell phone or electric bill. I never heard of fowl play in his dads death. Nothing was in the papers in Mooresville about his step mom being investigated. Where does he come up with the money for the private investigators? He couldn’t make it in time for NASCAR’S test but he could find another place. Give me a break. THIS FOOL IS FOOLING NO ONE. Arrest him on illegal drug use with his step moms statement and lock his foolish a$$ up
We’re all wasting our time thinking and talking about Mayfield. He’s history. He’s done. His career is over, and now he’s just lashing out in all directions. Let’s talk about something racing related, not a habitual liar and drug addict who will soon be the answer to a trivia question, at best.
I can not believe Jeremy Mayfield. He is just bash talking everybody; he knows he did drugs. If I were any of the drivers in the Cup series I would refuse to race against him. Although now that he tested positive again he should definitely be banned from NASCAR for life. The Judge probably feels like an idiot for reinstating him.
Grasping at straws… His moments of fame are dwindling and he’s looking for someone/anyone to blame for his problems. I bet Ray and Christina are smiling now….
If he’s lying he will pay the piper. If he is not they will be paying him. Nuff said. Leave it alone he’s ruined regardless.
They can take as long as they need or want in a death/murder investigation. Charges do not have to be filed immediately. No statute of limitations in a murder case. Like him or not, he will get his chance in court.
Either Mayfield is a compulsive liar
or NASCAR got caught trying to muscle someone out
who wouldn’t just step aside.
I’m still hoping for Mayfield to be proven innocent because I am
a bit tired of NASCARs “Even if we’re wrong we’re right” leadership
but I really don’t know what to believe yet. This whole step mother
information is just another dimension to an already incredibly complex sum of facets.
Howie, Best wait for all the information than to start speculating and making judgements prematurely.

I agree with you Tru7h! Your advice to Howie should be well taken and your feelings about NASCAR are the same as mine.
Why do we care if he did or didnt do drugs. It is none of our concern. We should all concentrate a bit more on our lives and a little less on the lives of celebrities or athletes. They are human just like the rest of us walking around and we tend to pay more attention to them and what they are doing then to ourselves. Human error can occur at any point, weather it be with drug testing or in a courtroom. Why spend time arguing with strangers over an issue that does not concern you in the first place. Jeremy is a grown man and is the only one that can be responsible for himself. Its not our concern if he did or did not borrow money from his step mother, if he can or cannot pay his own personal bills, if he does or has not done drugs, or if his step mother killed his father. NASCAR is not perfect either. They have had their fair share of mistakes, speculations and misjudgements. Mind your own business and pay attention to the things going on it your life.
if nascar is so sure of jeremy using druges why dont they use hair the drugs stay in the hair for up to a year so that is what they need to do and stop the drug test. nascar need to get to the real issue which is to get the fan back at the races i have watched some of the races on tv and all i see are empty seats so brian get back to getting the seast back full everyrace
