Hendrick motor issues due to bad parts

Hendrick Motorsports officials say a bad batch of parts led to engine failures by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mark Martin in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. “Both cars had valve train failures that were related to a specific batch of parts from a vendor,” said Doug Duchardt, HMS’ vice president of development. Duchardt said the parts were not restricted to use by Earnhardt and Martin, whose cars are prepared out of the same building. He said they also were used by Hendrick drivers Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, as well as lease programs such as Stewart-Haas Racing.
Earnhardt finished 39th and Martin 40th after both lost their engines within 25 laps of each other. Gordon finished second and Johnson was ninth, combining to lead 138 of 250 laps. Tony Stewart was eighth and led three laps. “So we’re glad it wasn’t more widespread,” Duchardt said.
What’s the deal!
How come there aren’t any dopey-JR NATION dummies coming out of the woodwork like roaches… accusing Rick Hendrick of deliberately “sabotaging” Junior’s car like we heard two years ago about Teresa…
Geeeze….
First his tranny blows and needs to be changed before the AutoClub race… then his engine blows in the same race….
HHHmmmmm… All that “superb” equipment sure is working to Junior’s advantage now, isn’t it?
LMAO…

Umm martin blew up too and jj had problems, and just wondering is that pic above martin at fontana? If so he’s not in the pit box his rearend is hanging over the line which would be the same as a tire on the line and no its not just because of Jr it could be any driver, nascar rules say the whole car has to be in the box right? well martins isnt plan as day so where were you at nascar?
1st of all Max we (JUNIOR NATION) are not dummies, speak for yourself, not matter what team or driver these type of issues happen, move on to the next track, hopefully with better equipment & parts for ALL TEAMS!!!!
however your comment is just plain DUMB, just shows what you are about not a DANG THING D.A.
Its not cali the pit is asphalt and at cali its concrete. so it has to be mears, or kyle a pic from awhile ago.

after you brought up the pit issue, what you said made sense, so i went looking and what I found was that all 4 ires have to be in the box, below is a link to the article i found where robin pemberton was questioned on it. hope this helps.

But as for the story martin blew up 1st then Jr and these things happen often with any team so its not a so called jr story…parts fail all the time maybe that vender was Auto Zone lol.

I wasnt sure I just assumed that a bumper hanging over or on the line would be the same as a tire being on the line but not over it,that doesnt really make sense because either way the car wouldnt be in the box but thats nascar for ya.
Yeah i agree especially since these rules are made for the safety of the crew members, you would thing the further out of the box a car is the more unsafe it is. and if a car is hanging out of a box then the crew member working on that part of the car is not safe.

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks auto zone has junk parts, that’s why I take my business either to napa or advance auto parts.

Nope, only dopey Jr haters……………………
You know what I find ironic about this, is that it was only Mark and Jr cars that had issues. After all you have JJ and JG and smoke and Newman not to mention other teams that use Hendrick motors, and Jr and mark were the only 2 that had issues. Those are the only 2 cars prepared at that shop. I would assume the motors are made at another location, so its odd that the 2 that were delivered or prepared in that shop were damaged
I am not even believing the negative comments about Jr. First of all, Vickers is an a-hole. Always has been, always will be. Anyone who has followed Jr. since DAY ONE knows he is NOT an aggressive driver. Do you ever see him intentionally take out another driver just to make himself “look good” as cry baby Kyle Busch has done and continues to do, and WITHOUT Busch ever getting a penalty as other drivers do for doing the same things Busch does???? No you DO NOT. I think Vickers and Busch are the pathetic ones. Jr. has always been NUMBER ONE in my book and ALWAYS WILL BE as long as he is a NASCAR driver. I cannot believe Jr’s SO CALLED FANS are agreeing with Vickers. How pathetic of them also. Jr. MADE A MISTAKE. You know darn well that Busch would never have been given a penalty for doing the same thing Jr. did by accident. That’s racing and if you fair weather Jr. fans can’t take the heat, better get out of the sport. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JR. I LOVE YA!!!!!!
