Kyle Busch has captured the pole for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Busch turned in a lap of 185.433 miles per hour today to nose out Kasey Kahne for the pole in NASCAR’s longest race of the season. It’s the third pole of the season for Busch, who also started from the top spot in last week’s All-Star race before leaving the event early due to engine problems.
Busch told reporters two hours before qualifying that he didn’t have a car capable of the pole. But after his crew worked on it, Busch went out 22nd out of 48 cars, running a clean lap to overtake Kahne.
Kahne will be seeking his second straight win when he starts in the front row this weekend.
Brian Vickers qualified third, following by Greg Biffle, David Ragan and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

At the risk of having everyone Boooo or throw beer bottles at me – I would just like to say “YEAH”!!!!!
Ok, I am now running for cover!
They see me rollin’….. They hatin’.

His one Fan yelling and cheering. I hear NASCAR pays people to follow this idiot around to make him look like his has some fans. LMAO.
Now another pole. Go Figure. NASCAR is down on their knees to Kyle.
Can’t figure that one out as why, He is the most hated driver in all of Racing and they, NASCAR, are kissing his A$$. Must be his backers sending all that God of Money to their bank accounts.
That’s awesome that he’s doing so good this year. It just sucks that because he’s doing good some people think he isn’t earning it but being handed it… oh well.
I picked him for my race pool so he needs to get a good finish or another win.. I really don’t care. Saying NASCAR is kissing his %#$ is just plain stupidity.
if you believe have the stuff you write on here, why dont you just go watch another sport. if you think that NASCAR does that then you are some real stupid people. and by the way as far as Kyles motor for this week, dont worry this motor was built in High Point by Toyota and chances are it will go the whole 600 miles.
hi
go kyle and m&ms.
they are both what the sports needs.
Like him or not, you can’t deny his talent. Five years ago, they said he was a better driver than Kurt. It’s pretty close. Will he win a Cup title this year? He’s got a good a shot as any. It would be huge.

Now don’t forget people Mr Howie Shutterbug is the smartest person out here on this forum, so don’t say any derrogitory statements on here, ” have the stuff “, hee, hee, NO ” it’s half the stuff ” is the correct spelling, see he is smart!!!
If you don’t say anything on here that he don’t want to hear, he’ll call your comments stupid etc, etc, he will make up names to match your initials, that’s how smart he is and that’s the best he can do, REMEMBER he thinks he is the brightest person on this forum, among others out here, you know who you are, I think, and I’m sure with others who think the same thing, the ones who act like this are dumb @sses, go get a life!!!
OH, Howie Bug, I will make comments the way I want to make comments on here, mind your own business dummy!!!
Well we will see how he runs after this race since Nascar told the teams to straiten out their cars. But there is no way they would have had time to completely change their setups before the 600.

Wild Thing my arse, he is just a flash in the pan.
Wild Thing, Flash in the pan Whatever! he must be good, or we would’nt be makiing comments!
people wanted a rivalry, they got it. Plain and simple. Shrub is doing good, Im not happy about it but it makes the races entertaining, and that is the point
I am a JR fan but its nice to see what everyone, including the shrub can do. Yeah i want him to finish last every week but that wont happen and that brings the emotions to the fans. IT is the fans who are over reacting who are making it difficult
the same thing happened with Sr and Gordon, There was no rivalry between them like there was with Sr and DW, it was a fan made rivalry and so is this.
its good for the sport, but i still hope he wrecks out (not get hurt)
