Fox Sports and its cable network, Speed, signed a three-year contract with Formula One racing to provide U.S. television coverage of the world’s most-watched motor sport through 2009.
Fox will broadcast four events each season, including live coverage of the U.S. Grand Prix in Indianapolis and the Canadian Grand Prix. Speed will have live coverage of the other 13 F1 events and also will air live coverage of qualifying and practices.
Formula One, which is managed by billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, estimates it averages 150 million television viewers around the world per race.
Fox coverage of the Formula 1, is so bad. They never show the race live. Well except the Canadian GP.
The show it 5 Hours later ???? It is an outrage to any F1 fan that they show it so late.
I would like people to demand that they show it live.
I like to see them show the Super Bowl 5 hours late. Idiots
I agree with what you are saying. do they know anything about television and who watches it. I actually get up early to catch the “live” F1 races on SPEED!
We are a family of f1 fans. I guess if speed will not telecast f1 live any longer why
waste money by subscribing to the stupid channel?

Qualifying is not shown Live on SpeedTV, it is 10 minutes delayed
I can live with the delayed broadcast, but I really do miss seeing the interviews with the podium finishers.
Yeah, I can read these online, but it’s great to be able to see them talk – especially following Barcelona where Button appeared to me to be back-pedaling in his comments about whether the result was rigged by the team, or not…
I also do like the pre-race show. A lot. It’s really fun this year as Peter Windsor is on cloud nine since his new team’s deal was finalized. He was always pretty peppy, but he can certainly trow away his Prozac – at least for now…
What a crock of crap. 5 hour delay. Even if more US fans start watching the races would still be on the same time as always.
Is stupid to broadcast a race 5 hours later, does not make any sense, and in top of that they don’t show the interviews. WHAT A GREAT JOB FOX, I HATE THIS F…CHANNEL.
can anyone figure out WHEN this Sunday Fox will start reruning the Hungarian race? I can’t find a Fox programming schedule anywhere.
yeah, I really like the pre-race shows and post-race interviews. I haven’t heard that Speed will stop playing them live though, is this true?
er, looks like 3PM eastern, 2PM central. Found it on SPEED actually, thanks.
I can’t find the Hungarian race on the Speed or Fox schedule, does anyone know?
I get Speed with my upgraded HD cable but we dont get Fox sports unless we subscribe to a big sports package. I just watch F1 and no other sports. This is very stupid that I have to miss 4 races! I already pay like 120 a month for cable in Pennsylvania.
