Dale Earnhardt, JrARE YOU SURPRISED ABOUT KYLE BUSCH’S COMMENTS EARLIER TODAY ABOUT YOUR CREW CHIEF SITUATION?:

“Not really, that doesn’t really surprise me what Kyle (Busch) says. He’s always had a chip on his shoulder for me. I expect anytime he gets an opportunity to throw a jab in there he’s going to do it. That’s just his personality. We’re working toward trying to figure out how we can make our deal work and that has nothing to do with Kyle (Busch). We’ll see how this weekend goes and then move forward next week.”

First of all yes Jr is right he did take Kyles spot at Hendricks, and kyle has proven it to be a fairly stupid choice but its done and both guys are in new places. My question is how is it a “JAB” when Kyle spoke the absolute truth, he just brought to light the obvious, what everyone else in nascar and the media is scared to death to do. Jr should have said he doesnt care what Kyle says and the he will out perform him on the track, but whoops he knows he cant do that.

Whats Dale supposed to say. Hes right I suck. This is turning into such a soap opera. Dale is suppose to be a race car driver and I swear everyone in the Media Center treats him like hes the second coming. They act like they are making a million bucks every time they right another dumb article about him, I think were up to about 100 this weekend alone. I guess its forget the other headlines about other drivers. Its such a far cry from when I was following him around in the late 90s. its just plain sickening.

I didn’t read in the article Jr said he sucks, such imagination, how is it Rowdy that he is telling the absolute truth?

You thinks it’s a possibility Kyle thinks Jr might be better now, of course you are going to say no, but as always, it’s a wait and see situation.

  4. 4 ganjadude

howie good to see you we were just talking about you the other day. The question I am wondering is the media acts like is the the second coming… how does HE act, is he as humble as he seems or is he really a dick?

I tell ya what for anyone who does not like shrub like me, today was a great day. Taken out by lagano (looked like he had a tire go down but im sure he will blame lagano/let him keep thinking it was his fault) and than losing a tire in the truck race…. I havent had a smile this big in weeks

  5. 5 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

Lol ganja I think your right although after the truck race goodyear may have all of kyles attention logano is probably happy that tire blew

Kinda like when people call kyle a crybaby that needs to grow up thats not a “JAB” It’s the absolute truth and every time he wrecks somebody It’s never his fault he always blames somebody else and thats not a “JAB” It’s the absolute truth.

very good point, even nascar.com took a jab( sort of) if you look at the heading for the race (kyle avoids media after being taken out, dale jr and edwards talk about the race)

The kid can drive, I do LOVE watching him drive (hoping he spins but enjoying it none the less) but he really needs to grow up. I mean If he wants to be all big and bad, he needs to back it up off the track, not run away like a little b$^&h everytime he loses. The way he races hes either going to win or wreck trying, hes the ricky bobby on the track and a 2 year old off

exactly… just like its never jrs fault… who said that again??

  11. 11 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

Well kyle hasn’t blamed anyone yet so let’s wait and see before we jump to conclusions either way he that if I was a car owner I would want to have a guy who is upset with not winning then a guy who is satisfied with a top 20

I came up with that all on my own the same way you come on here and spew the senseless garbage that you bring up all on your own.

  13. 13 ganjadude

No argument there rowdy, a top 20 is not good by any measurement abd if one is happy with that (regularly, everyone has a bad car from time to time) than that is a problem

  14. 14 ganjadude

senseless garbage? Im sorry lee but anything rowdy says (even if i dont like to hear it) is true 99% of the time. Lets think about things before we make baseless accusations based solely on driver preference.

Uh rowdy seems to think kyle is the greatest driver that has ever lived by the comments he makes so yeah I’d say thats senseless garbage, the guy needs to win a championship in something…before people start labeling him great.

  16. 16 ganjadude

Sr did not win the daytona 500 until how many years later? Should we have waited until he did to say he was great? I cannot stand the kid, but lets not lie to ourselves. Hes a damn good driver. Yeah he needs a championship but hes 24…he has time, he has proved this year that last year in not a fluke, god I hate the fact that I am defending this shrub but I dont wear blinders, I see telent even if I dont want to

  17. 17 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

Ganja your the man and by all means a true racing fan

  18. 18 ganjadude

Thanks rowdy, Im only 24 but I can remember watching races as far back as 3 yeasrs old. The earliest picture of me, well that I have is in a play pen with the race on TV – the 88 coke 600. Im just pissed I almost decided to drive out to dover today for the races , its a 4 hour drive but i was worried about the weather so i didnt, I really wish I had now

  19. 19 ganjadude

LOL what does the daytona 500 have to do with being great? yeah he only won it once but should have won it several times,Dale is a 7 time champion thats what makes him great…I dont get your point? I mean derrick cope and ward burton won the 500 I guess that makes them great drivers? LOL…

  25. 25 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

Lee good point did your wife tell u all that lol just kidding but I see what your saying but I think ganja was just giving an example not the end all determining decesion

  26. 26 ganjadude

lee, the point is that greatness is not defined only by championships, there are many acspects that come to mind, I am not saying kyle is great, he DOES however have talent, along with the POTENTIAL to be great, no matter how much I want to throw up thinking such things as possibilities

Of course kyle has talent and im sure he will win a championship probably more than 1,but how can you say championships are not the only thing that matters? thats the only thing that matters in sports, example if mark martin never wins a championship he’ll always be labeled as a guy that won a lot of races but never won the cup.

  28. 28 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

    Lee

I agree with you, but Martin is also held to alittle bit higher standard the the regular driver cause he is an above average driver but your right he will always titled as the guy who is good but who has never won a cup.

Hay Rowdy, I thought you didn’t like Jr?

You have a pic of his car on racemyspace.com.

  30. 30 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

    UMMMMMMMMMMMM yes you right

I have pics of multiple Sr cars and The very First car Gordon won in which was a Bill Davis Thunderbird, one of Harry Gants cars, Mikeys Napa, Marcose ambrose car, Bowyers wrecked car and Harv’s daytona win and multiple other cars, and yes i do have a pic of Jr’s car at hendrick motopsports, which just because i dont like jr doesnt mean i cant appreciate what Rick Hendrick has accomplished, speaking of which thanks for reminding me i got a question for Howie.

Howie I have head for years the lake or pond in front of Hendricks motorports, that Harry Hyde sank a car in the pond to avoid an inspection by nascar, can you please confirm or deny that for me…. After all Harry Hydes original shop is atop the hill there, so could you please shed some light on this for me

  31. 31 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

    back to intimidator

i can appreciate what hendrick has done, more important when going to the race shops especially the old RCR shop (even though i was never a SR fan I can still appreciate what he did for the sport and as a driver) and the new stewart haas, and even mikeys race wolrd is very impressive gibbs is a lil lame and hendicks is ok i did like the Bodine “lilly” car in the showroom and the the wall of all of jimmy and jeffs accomplshments and championships is quite impressive.

Didn’t read the comments so if this has been said already my bad.

Kyle was right, it will always be the Crew Chief and never Jr. In Racing it is ALWAYS the crew chief.

It’s a lot easier to hire/fire crew chiefs then it is drivers.

  34. 34 MissL

Kyle IS a crybaby but by the same token Junior does suck. The truth is the truth and both of those are facts. I have my reasons for disliking Kyle. Its called an opinion, which means I can respect other ppls opinions too. Let’s hope that all this hoopla over Junior pays off and he stops sucking

I’m talking about in almost every drivers case. I mean yeah there are some sucky drivers who get the boot, but look at the majority of drivers who’ve had performance problems over the years, who gets the blame? Not the driver, but the Crew Chief.

Because teams have invested so much money in their drivers they have no choice but to change the crew chief.

You know I thought DW brought up a good point on the pre-race show when they asked him if Kyle was expressing what other drivers were thinking about Jr. And DW basically said hes sure Kyles had heard somewhere else before, which means probably all over the garage people thinking the same thing

Who cares what DW thinks,as of right now Jr seems to be having a good run…I still think Dale’s going to be a lot better off with eury jr gone,All these people saying Jr sucks cracks me up like they could do better, every driver has bad years from time to time I dont care who it is,its not like he’s the only driver or team etc. thats had trouble getting a handle on the C.O.T he’s got time to still make the chase if he can string together a few top 5s or top 10s the next few weeks he’ll be right there.

  46. 46 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

    YEah

Jr is having a really good run right now, and I agree he will be alot better off with out jr, but COT issue, thats a non issue its a car drive it, as Jr making the cahse that is still questionable he better have runs like hes having today until the chase starts

Well after today theirs 13 races left till the chase so thats plenty of time, its not like he cant do it I mean last year he stayed in the top 5 in points almost all year until the chase started and the wheels fell off for whatever reason.

  48. 48 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

well since kyle is having issues again, i did notice the infield rv lot i saw alot of green grass appeared to be empty, and how bout the these stewart haas cars, i would love to see smoke get the win, we just need biffle to slow down a little

  49. 49 ROWDY BUSH Registered User

wow what a finish, jimmy and tony put on one hell of a show, would of much rather seen smoke win though.

Kyle is a good driver. The problem is when it comes to personality he is a giant piss ant!
I so want him to come and tell me to shut my mouth and just work on the car. Someone on his crew should use some tools to take a few rounds out of his rear end!

  59. 59 OldSpice14

A driver can be nice, he can be friendly and have a good personality. Or he can be a total jerk with no personality. But that doesn’t matter, when it comes down to it, it’s all about performance. This is a sport based on performance.
Whose job do you think would be more secure:
The fan favorite that finishes in the top 25 every week?

Or the guy that fans don’t like as much, that’s winning every other week?

Kyle Busch may be cocky, arrogant and might act like a 13 year old sometimes..but he is performing. The other teams and drivers are going to have to step up their game to beat him. TV, media, press, interviews means nothing..it doesn’t matter what’s said, the only thing to do is to outperform the guy on the racetrack..the only place where it really counts.
