Chevy ties its own NASCAR record

ChevyWhen #48-Jimmie Johnson took the checkered flat at Texas Motor Speedway to score his ninth victory this season he also achieved a major milestone for Chevrolet – helping the brand tie its all-time win record in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Team Chevy drivers have scored 25 victories in 34 races [74%] this season – 13 with the Monte Carlo SS and 12 with the new generation Impala SS race car – which ties the bowtie brand’s win record set in 1958.

    They’ll be saying Tony Who? next year… when Tony doesn’t get any wins. They’ll still have Johnson and Gordon and Earnhardt to do all of the dominating.
