Kyle BuschKyle Busch has brushed off a flurry of comments about a rivalry between himself and Dale Earnhardt, Jr after he made remarks regarding Dale Jr’s crew chief change at Busch’s old team, Hendrick Motorsports.

He said he holds no ill will toward Earnhardt Jr., who was hired at Hendrick Motorsports in 2007, the same season in which Busch left the team and went to JGR. Instead, he said it’s just people trying to create a rivalry.

“It’s just people trying to build [that] up,” he said Friday at Pocono Raceway, site of Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Pocono 500. “Some of the media trying to build up stuff like that. To me, I’ve got no issues with Dale Jr. whatsoever. It wasn’t him that kicked me out of Hendrick Motorsports, to be honest with you. It was Casey Mears. It is what it is. Junior had a strong run last weekend. It was a good start in the right direction for them.”

It doesn’t matter who took whos place, this issue began at Richmond when Kyle dumped Jr, the rivalry was then born. Just so happens Jr was in Kyles old spot. Plus Jr is the sports nicest guy and Kyle is the sports most outspoken maybe the meanest guy so rivalry is natural.

Hey Kryle what did Casey do to get you kicked out of HMS? Was it your crappy attitude? I can see Casey not liking you because he is a very nice young man who is always kind to the media and doesn’t run away. Could it be he saw how you really are? He saw someone that won’t even be happy for his brother when he wins and is really so jealous of his brother because he has a championship and he doesn’t. Kyle the first person to come over to VL when you win is your brother but I have yet to see you return that favor. That speaks volumes to the person you are.

Who cares, you need 2 good drivers to make a rivalry and you only have 1 in this situation. Kyle said a few weeks ago when he came out to the Toyota manufactures display that he flips Dale off every time he passes him. I wonder if Dale knows that. As far as Casey having anything to do with the removal of Kyle, it has been known for along time that Jimmie and Jeff didn’t want him there. Again, who cares. Hes with a great team in a great car with a great sponsor.

LOL I wish I had a dollar everytime Kyle flips Jr off, might have a good little chunk of change.

    Erin,

The only reason Casey is nice, is because he would love to half the coverage Kyle gets. So the few times Casey does get coverage he has to make the most of it.

Kyle is a brat! I wouldn’t want him as a teammate myself. Look what he did to Joey last week! They knew they had a tire go down why in the heck would they not tell the 20 team? Joey had no clue so he tries to out duel Kyle on the restart and what happened? What would have happened if he would have told Joey? Joey would have won that race. Over and over again he shows it’s all about Kyle and to heck with the rest. He is still selfish like a kid in Kindergarten. Grow up! I cannot blame Casey, Jimmie or Jeff for not wanting him as a teammate and I wouldn’t doubt that Denny and Joey have similar feelings at times. Kyle is trying to be like Tony by flipping people off when he passes. Smoke used to do that all the time to his good friends off the track. Dale probably sees it and thinks it’s funny. I am not denying Kyle is a great driver but his attitude needs adjusted. Yeah I think the Busch’s are as odd as the Bodine’s in many respects. It’s funny Casey got off to a slow start at Childress but the last few weeks he’s improved and I think the pressure is off of him over there. I don’t think Ganassi or Hendrick really were fair to him moving his team around all the time. He may not be the driver Kyle is but I’d much rather spend time with him than Kyle just because of their attitude.

You know what they say, “Actions speak louder then words”. Kyle’s actions have not been consistant with his latest words printed here. Why attempt to sugar coat the situation now? It just comes off as B.S. (could it be?)

I think Howie Motorsports Photography is a class A backstabber, one time he is an Earnhardt fan the next minute he’s not, believe me, I know a thing or two about a thing or two!!!

You say Casey is off to a slow start at Childress, I think you mean slow start in his career. What makes you think Kyle knew he had a tire going down, I have not heard that any where, i also member where a few races ago in the nationwide race where he had a flat with a few to go and he went and pit, afterall Kyle has proven in truck series and nationwide he can get the car to the front. As for being selfish, this is a sport where people want to win, where people will do whatever it takes to win, afterall Hendrick and Ganassi got rid of mears cause he wasnt winning, so does that mean they were being mean, no they wanted a change so i guess they were being selfish. AS for you being able to know what these drivers are thinking, give me a break, how can you possibly know what Jimmy Jeff denny and Joey are thinking, you have no idea what the drivers are thinking, it is a pure assumption, for all you know jimmy and Jeff could have been thinking that casey mears is anpother overrated punk living off his famlies name for a racing career. Denny and Joey could be thinking damn this kyle kid is a wheelman and we wish we could drive like him. SO to say what a driver thinks is crazy.

I’ve heard some stories and seen some pictures involving Casey (back during his Ganassi days) and he’s not exactly the nice responsible poster-boy that you think he is.

As far as the media thing, Top 3 finishers and the highest finishing rookie are the only 4 drivers that are required to stick around and give media interviews. Shrub isn’t a rookie in any of the top 3 NASCAR series, and if he doesn’t finish in the top 3 I see no need for him (or any other driver) to stick around to talk to some half-brained pit-road reporter.

Rules are one thing. It’s also another when your 19 year old Rookie teammate takes the blame in front of Millions of viewers, just to find out later while talking with Kyle, that it wasn’t even his fault. Kyle did not show any type of leadership with that situation. Not cool. Even Tony Stewart would have given that much, pissed off or not. That is something he really needs to work on. And by the way, those half-brained pit-road reporters that you speak so highly of, help these teams promote their sponsors by giving them extra camera time. Something else all drivers in general need to consider these days. Required or not.

Kyle Busch is a conceited, arrogant, insecure, little BRAT!!! But can he drive.
People say that he drives very aggressively. I agree. However, when you add recklessly the year before he LEFT
to the equation then you have a stick of dynamite ready to explode. And when this happens
someone is going to get hurt. I think that Kyle is in need of some serious counseling. As
far as the RUMOR that Jeff Gordon and JImmie Johnson did not like or want Kyle around that is a
a bunch of nonsense. Jeff and Jimmie did everything they could do for Kyle Busch when he
was with HMS. Even Kyle admitted that Jeff Gordon really helped him the most the year prior
to leaving HMS. Gordon gave him some very good advice which he has so far failed to heed.
Gordon told Kyle that he was a very very good talent, but that he needed to get his temper
under control in the race car. Jeff told him: “Kyle, you are an excellent talent and you
will be a winner. However, while your aggressive driving is commendable, your temper and
recklessness are dangerous. If you get those two things under control you will be one of
Nascar’s greatest. If you don’t, then you will be remembered as a man with a lot of talent
who could not harness it because you were to stubborn.” It is obvious to me that he did not
take the advice of Jeff Gordon. Because every week you see Kyle do something stupid in
either the Truck race, the Nationwide race, or the Sprint Cup. Each time he loses one of
these races it is generally his fault as was evident last week at Dover. He lost the truck
race because he took two tires on a pit stop just to climb to the leader board. After 11
laps on those tires, the left front tire blew. Then in the Nationwide he actually had the
race won, but again another two tire change on the “Monster Mile.” You might, and I say
might, get away with two tires once on that track, which he did earlier in the race. But it you continue to push it, it will jump up and bite you right in the butt. Again, Kyle was unable to sit down after the
race. As far as Casey Mears go, Kyle could learn a little lesson about class from him. And
Jr.! Kyle, I know what you said about Jr., because I heard it with my own two ears. It was
a clear slap down at Jr. because he is so popular, and you are a bore. Having said all of
this I still think you are a great race driver, and that you have a brillant future in auto
racing. The ball is in your court Kyle, the decision is completely yours. Continue down the
road you are on and be successful. Or, you can continue to be arrogant, nasty, reckless, and
dangerous on the track and not have a friend around. That would then make it very difficult
for you don’t you think, Kyle?

I think when he left DEI he lost his motivation even though his Daddy was gone he was still racing under his Daddies name. What will be his new motivation? who knows!
