According to AFP France, Albers did not pull in to have his M16 weighed when requested and this is an infringement on the sporting regulations.
Albers would have started the race from 18th due to Felipe Massa’s ten position engine change penalty, but will now start 22nd. It was good day for Spyker MF1 off track with the announcement of Ferrari V8 power for next year, but on track Tiago Monteiro had mechanical problems and now Albers has this penalty.
Sakon Yamamoto is now promoted to 19th ahead of Massa, Takuma Sato with Albers 22nd.
