Castroneves declined to confirm details except to say it is a multiyear contract. Castroneves was to become a free agent at the end of the season.

In Friday night’s Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway, Roush Fenway Racing’s Carl Edwards was lined up fourth for the green-white-checkered restart that followed a late-race accident.
