Hendrick Motorsports officials announced Wednesday that Jimmie Johnson will compete in three NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2008, driving the No. 5 Chevrolet fielded by JR Motorsports.

The International Conference on Sport and Entertainment Business has presented NASCAR Vice President Jim Hunter with its Lifetime Achievement in Sport and Entertainment Award. Hunter, the vice president of corporate communications/regional touring/NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series, has worked in the motorsports industry since 1968.
