Goodyear returned on Tuesday [Sept 25] to Daytona International Speedway for tire testing with NASCAR’s Car of Tomorrow in preparation for the historic 50th running of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 17. Rain slowed Goodyear’s two-day test last week at DIS.

Two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion Tony Stewart will not race in the Knoxville Late Model Nationals, which runs Thursday through Saturday in Knoxville Iowa.
He will however sign autographs for the first 750 fans to fill Knoxville Raceway’s grandstands for Saturday’s championship show.

NASCAR officials have penalized Tony Raines, driver of the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. entry in the Busch Series, for throwing his helmet at a competitor in Saturday’s race at Dover International Speedway.

The last time Dale Earnhardt Jr. was on a track similar to Kansas Speedway, he found himself trying to muscle his car without any power steering. That was at Chicagoland Speedway, a 1.5-mile oval drivers say is most like the track at Kansas.

Interviewed Monday afternoon on Sirius Speedway, #88-Brad Keselowski said he has been offered a multi-year contract to drive for JR Motorsports.
