Kenny Wallace to the No 88?

Kenny Wallace may return to the NASCAR Cup series next year if a meeting with Robert Yates goes well Sunday in California. “He called me up and said that his brother-in-law told him that the driver he needed to hire was right under his nose – me,” Wallace said with his signature laugh.

Hall of Fame Racing general manager Philippe Lopez said the team hasn’t decided which manufacturer it will partner with next season. The Music City Motorplex will honor Adam Petty, who was killed in 2000 while practicing for a Busch Series race, during the 25th annual All-American 400. The All-American 400, scheduled for Nov. 2-4, is an ASA Late Model Series race which pits stockcar drivers from the North and South against one another.
