NASCAR officials announced today that Greg Biffle has been fined $5,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31, for failing to fulfill his postrace media obligations Saturday night following the NASCAR Busch Series race at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis.

NASCAR announced that Tony Stewart has been fined $25,000 and penalized 25 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver championship points, as a result of using inappropriate language during a post-race televised interview following his victory Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Wood Brothers/JTG driver Jon Wood was treated and released from a local hospital this morning following a single vehicle accident on his way to work. Wood’s pickup truck has a modified suspension system with pneumatic air bags on the chassis.

Michael Valiante has big-shoes to fill and the best way he can do that is by winning the inaugural NASCAR Busch Series race at Montreal this weekend. With Juan Montoya, a former F1 driver and Champ Car champ, taking a breather, Valiante was called by Ganassi Racing to drive the No. 42.Texaco Havoline car.

Last week’s testing on Bristol Motor Speedway’s new concrete is still being assessed, and so far it appears the layout has been changed dramatically.
