Kevin Harvick was less than thrilled following the Allstate 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday.
The race leader with 10 laps to go, he and Tony Stewart found themselves locked in a battle for the win. After contact with Stewart, Harvick plummeted through the leaders in the final laps and finished seventh.

Tony Stewart passed Kevin Harvick with nine laps remaining and pulled away to win the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard on July 29 at his beloved home track, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Stewart beat runner-up 2000 Indianapolis 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya by 2.982 seconds and averaged 117.379 mph for his second victory in this marquee [...]

NASCAR officials plan to have a pair of competition cautions in the early laps of today’s Allstate 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Nextel Cup driver Greg Biffle refused to visit the press box and complete his post-race media obligations at O’Reilly Raceway Park following Saturday night’s Busch Series race. NASCAR was investigating and discussing the incident late Saturday.

David Gilliland said Friday that he’s signed a contract extension with Robert Yates Racing and will be back behind the wheel of the #38 Ford Fusion next season.
“I’m really glad to have this behind me so I can concentrate on the future,” said Gilliland.

Chevrolet officials remain hopeful that Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports will remain a part of the General Motors program in 2008.
