Ron Hornaday Jr. relied on his ability to make strong restarts as he won Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Power Stroke Diesel 200 at O’Reilly Raceway Park.
Hornaday passed Travis Kvapil 30 laps from the finish of the 201-lap race, then maintained his lead after two late restarts — the last of which came on lap 199.

Evernham Motorsports will run the remaining non-Car of Tomorrow races with the 2006 Dodge Charger and without technical director Eric Warren. Friday’s practices were completely washed out at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, forcing NASCAR to delay Saturday’s NASCAR Nextel Cup qualifying to 4:05 p.m. EDT Saturday in order to allow teams a practice session in the morning.

Rain cancelled the opening practice session for the NASCAR Nextel Cup teams at Indianapolis Motor Speedway today.
The rain, which is predicted to continue intermittently through the weekend, started shortly before the 1:30 p.m. EDT session was scheduled to begin.

The #08 Team announces “Front Row Joe” Nemechek will drive the #08 car at Indy in the Allstate 400 for John Carter and EM Motorsports this weekend. Race Week Media is still searching for primary sponsorship for the car, but are confident of success with all of the support Nemechek fans are expressing.

This weekend’s Allstate 400 at the Brickyard will mark the first appearance in 2007 for Johns Manville as the co-primary sponsor of the #7 Menards Ford of Robby Gordon. Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality building and specialty products.
