Budweiser officials are shopping around for their best sponsorship option in NASCAR, a clear indication that the beer company will not sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Hendrick Motorsports next season, sources confirmed Tuesday.

Pepsi’s decision to pull its sponsorships of International Speedway Corp. racetracks was the first step in the company’s plans to sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr. when he drives at Hendrick Motorsports next year.
According to industry sources, Pepsi’s Mountain Dew soft drink now is the leader to sponsor Earnhardt Jr. next year.

Toronto’s Ron Fellows finished second Sunday driving the #16 Cadillac CTS-V in the SCCA Speed GT Challenge series at the Grand Prix of Toronto. For the next six weeks Fellows will be on a tour preparing for and racing in the NASCAR Nextel Cup and NASCAR Busch Series.
