International Speedway Corporation (Nasdaq: ISCA)(OTC Bulletin Board: ISCB) (”ISC”) today announced its decision to discontinue pursuit of a speedway development on Staten Island. The Company will explore alternative strategies for the 676- acre parcel of land it currently owns in the borough.

Michael Waltrip has a huge undertaking with Michael Waltrip Racing and Waltrip Raceworld (formerly called Waltrip Racing World). Waltrip does not foresee anything that will slow down progress, but if something does come up he’s prepared.

Michael Waltrip and about 800 other runners got together for the Victory Junction Run, a 13-mile half marathon. Kyle Petty, who founded Victory Junction Gang Camp with his wife Pattie, said he got the idea for the race from Waltrip.
