This week, IndyCar Series drivers Tony Kanaan and Helio Castroneves speak about Juan Pablo Montoya, who makes his stock car debut this week. Like Montoya, both drivers live in Miami and competed against the Columbian in Indy-style cars in 1999 and 2000.

Craig Pollock, manager for former F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve, denied a report from Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport that said Villeneuve signed with Roush Racing to race in NASCAR next year.
Pollock: “What’s been said is totally unfounded.” But Pollock said that talks were “ongoing that could land Villeneuve in NASCAR next year.”

The #66 Haas CNC Racing Chevrolet will sport a special paint design this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. The Microsoft Windows Live logo will appear on the hood and quarter panels of the #66 entry, driven by Jeff Green, in Sunday’s Nextel Cup Series race.

Both Sterling Marlin and MB2 Motorsports have a history of success on NASCAR’s 2.5-mile superspeedways. But regardless of what history shows, Marlin and his No. 14 Waste Management team haven’t been able to find that success this season.
