INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 16, 2006 – Arie Luyendyk found more than two victories at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway after coming to the United States from his native Holland to race in the 1980s. He also acquired a second father.

Evernham Motorsports announced today that it has named Elliott Sadler to drive the #19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger beginning this weekend at Michigan International Speedway.

Tuesday’s reports that Michael Schumacher will sign a new Ferrari contract for 2007 are gathering strength. Ahead of the German driver’s public announcement at Monza, Auto Bild Motorsport claimed this week that Schumacher is to race next year - and possibly also in 2008 - alongside Kimi Raikkonen.

Despite speculation that his Ferrari deal is now all but official, new reports indicate that Kimi Raikkonen’s future on the formula one grid beyond 2006 is not yet settled.
