NASCAR points leader Jimmie Johnson signed a three-year contract extension Monday committing him to Hendrick Motorsports through the 2010 season.Lowe’s, the primary sponsor of the No. 48 Chevrolet, also agreed to stay with the team through 2010.

We’re hearing that Fox broadcaster Larry McReynolds is looking into becoming a NASCAR team owner again, supposedly with John Dangler, starting with a Busch Series deal in 2007 that would move up to Nextel Cup in 2008, McReynolds was part owner of the ill-fated BANG Racing team in 2004.
